Tuition Schedule and Policies
School Fees 2018-2019
Tuition includes all texts and resource materials, technology, uniforms for school sports teams, Classroom Without Walls expenses, library and database membership, high speed/wireless internet access, sports and fitness facility access. Note: additional fees may apply for interscholastic travel.
The school fees provide each student with either an iPad/MacBook or laptop in grade 4 and higher. In the lower elementary and ECC students are provided with classroom devices. iPads and MacBooks remain the property of SIS for a period of three years. At the end of 3 full years (from date of issue) the device is fully owned by the family. Devices issued less than 3 years may purchase on a buyout plan available from the accounting department.
Tuition is payable in RMB. Late penalties apply. Payment in US Dollars or another currency must be arranged prior to payment with the accounting office.
New Students Enrolling Mid-Year and for the Next Academic Year

Annual Re-registration for Returning/Continuing Students
Each March parents will be asked to confirm their attendance for the following academic year. The tuition and capital levy will be invoiced in April and is due no later than May 15th. Seats are not guaranteed unless the fee has been fully paid. If a continuing student withdraws their applications between May 15th and June 30th, the paid invoice will be refunded less RMB 30,000. Students who withdraw after July 1st will be refunded 40% of the full tuition paid. Please refer to the withdrawal policy.
The enrollment of any student is a private contract between the parent and the school, regardless of any arrangement the parent may have with an employer concerning the payment of school fees. The parent always remains responsible for the payment of all school fees.

Application, Tuition and Capital levy fees are payable by wire transfer.

Important: It is essential to email SIS a copy of the bank transfer slip on the day payment is made. It is critical that the names of all students must accompany the wire transfer payment instructions. Shenzhen must appear with school name.
A non-refundable application processing fee must be paid to complete the application process. The application fee may be paid by wire transferin the Jingshan office. Enrolled students who withdraw and reapply will not need to pay an additional application fee. Applicants who receive a letter of acceptance but choose not to attend must pay the application fee to initiate the re-application process. The application fee is valid for the academic year for which the application is submitted. If your child is placed in the wait pool, the application fee remains valid only if the application is kept active by renewing the application in March.
This one time fee is non-transferable and non-refundable. The full year’s capital levy fee is assessed (regardless of entry date) on all new students enrolling in Kindergarten through grade 12. Students enrolled in the ECC program are exempt from the capital levy fee until the year they enter kindergarten. This fund supports future facility enhancements and long term planning and other capital expenses such as construction, technology, furniture and fixtures.

Late Entry Policy
For new students enrolling after November 1st of the school year until January 6th, the tuition will be 70% of the full year’s tuition. For new students enrolling on or after January 7th until March 31st , the tuition will be 50% of the full year’s tuition. For new students enrolling on or after April 1st of the school year, the tuition will be 30% of the full year’s tuition.
If a student withdraws from the school at any time prior to January 31st, 40% of the full tuition paid will be refunded. If a student withdraws from February 1st - March 31st, 20% will be refunded. No other refunds for early withdrawals can be considered. Withdrawal forms are available at the Bayside campus and in the Jing Shan administrative office. Forms should be submitted 30 days prior to the student’s last day.
In the case of financial delinquency, all school records will be withheld. Any student whose tuition is outstanding will not be allowed to attend school until payment is made. Late penalties apply. Questions about bills and payments should be directed to the accounting office.
Note: In the event of a financial crisis or if an unforeseen deficit arises, the school sponsor has the right to increase or revise fees at any time during the school year.
