Challenging, Authentic & Personalized
SIS is a place where learners are challenged to find their interests and drive their own learning. This is true for staff as well. Staff are encouraged to use their interests to engage with students both in the SIS and greater Shenzhen community.
Input from teachers to positively affect change in school is fostered at events.
Students get to drive their learning with inquiry based units throughout the elementary school. Secondary students get to follow their passions in our AMPed program. This program allows teachers and students to freely explore their learning interests.

Service learning is a huge part of the SIS mission. Students are encouraged to explore service while they engage in different learning activities. Teachers genuinely model an enthusiasm for service and the excitement is palpable.
