For the 2nd year in a row, 8th Grade Students created the Technological Impact Museum and Exhibit, TIMEII. This year the museum was called "TIMEII: A Shenzhen Story".

On April 5th, 10 of our SIS MS Choir members traveled to Jakarta Intercultural School in Indonesia to participate in the AMIS Middle School Honor Boys' and Girls' Choir Festival.

This year's Bayside Play "Absolutely Murder" ran for three performances this week. The students had a great time recreating the ambiance of Guernsey LaPelley's 1958 mystery.

The last six weeks, 5th grade students have been busy learning about movers and shakers. Movers and shakers are people who make an impact to the world around them, both in big ways and small ways.

The best way to discover the joys of reading is to have a story come to life! To support our school wide Book Week and build a love of reading, our PSA sponsored Bringing Books to Life for our ECC, Kindergarten and 1st Grade students.

SIS Robotics Team participated in the FFL Robotics competition in Shanghai on March 10. Our students not only won awards, but also gained confidence and experience.

On Tuesday, March 7th, students from grade 6 to 9 took part in the biannual SIS science exhibition. This celebration of science learning gave students a chance to explore a science or engineering topic of their own choosing.

From March 1st to March 5th, 17 students and two teachers traveled to Beijing to participate in the 24th annual BEIMUN conference, a Model United Nations simulation hosted by the International School of Beijing.

Over the past few weeks, our students have been learning about Chinese New Year traditions, symbols, practices, and legends. We are fortunate to be able to learn about and celebrate our host country's culture and traditions in playful, fun, and authentic ways.

As the Chinese New Year Festival spreads over two weeks, secondary school organized the Lantern Festival Assembly to symbolize the closure of the festivities. Performances ranged from Kung Fu, to a knowledge competition, a French-Chinese duet, a Chinese song and eating "Tang Yuan".

On Wednesday, February 8, we invited Chinese Lion Dance artists to perform for our ECC students. The kids had a great time together watching the traditional Chinese performance.

During the latter half of Semester One, 6th grade students researched and prepared a presentation on Climate Change in Humanities. They also travelled to the Parkside Campus at Jingshan to present their message to 4th or 5th grade students.

On January 23 we held an event in the middle school to celebrate our 6th graders and their learning. Over 50 parents shared the achievements of their child in Humanities, Art, Mathematics and Science at Bayside campus.

Third graders recently showcased their creative ideas at our annual Invention Convention held at Level5. This culminating event is an opportunity for students to demonstrate all that they've learned throughout our "Inventors and Inventions" social studies unit.

On Saturday Night, SIS Teachers and Students attended the South China Student Film Festival. SIS Students from Middle and High School submitted three different films, all of which were listed among the top 30 submissions.
