As we go into the final four weeks of school, there continues to be a buzz of excitement in the air.

On May 12 and 13, 20 SIS students from middle and high school participated in the local round of the World Scholar's Cup. All teams from SIS did very well, won many different awards and all of them qualified to go onto any one of the three Global Rounds held in Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne or Barcelona this summer.

The MS/HS Art Show on Monday May 7 was a masterpiece of creativity! The show displayed a culmination of the year's work in the Art studio for grades 6 through 10.

The winners for our third photo contest at SIS Bayside were announced last week. The contest was divided into Middle School and High School categories, and was open to students, teachers and parents.

SIS has negotiated long-term, exclusive access to 2 full-sized gyms in a beautiful new sports facility in Chiwan (a 12-minute drive from Bayside). We will officially move in at the start the new school year in August and look forward to having community events to show off our new 'Home of the Geckos'!

During the past weekend SIS hosted the annual forum for Curriculum leaders to come together and discuss the most current trends in education, share resources and plan professional learning collaborations between schools.

Monday April 23rd saw the happy return of 17 exceptional students from their Model United Nations (MUN) conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This is the perfect platform for our students to build on skills that encapsulate what it means to be a global citizen, a communicator and a collaborator.

SIS sent 21 teacher-delegates to the 39th annual EARCOS Teacher Conference in Bangkok, during Spring Break. Three of SIS's own teachers presented workshops during the conference.
