SIS reads in unusual places! That's right, we're a little bit weird and love reading.Book Week at SIS happens March 13 - 17 and to get ready SIS students are taking the challenge to send in photos of themselves reading in unusual places. Are you interested in having some fun, too? Are you and your child or children up for a creative challenge? If so, send in a photo (one per student) to email@example.comPhotos that are sent in prior to March 11 will be on display in the SIS ES Library during Book Week. Take a look at a few of the photos that have already been sent in.
As well, please see the attached Book Week poster to learn about our upcoming events. If you would like to volunteer to help students play book-themed games, please email Gaylene Livingston at firstname.lastname@example.org. We also have a paper sign-up in the library.Book week volunteers will be asked to supervise one of the simple games that will be set-up behind the library at the basketball court. Volunteer slots are 1 hour long. If it is raining, we'll move some book shelves out of the way and play games in the library.Together, we make a difference in the lives of our SIS students. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. And of course, thank you to those who are already signed up or helping as we prepare. We appreciate your incredible support.Don't forget to help your child share his or her book love by sending in a crazy, unusual reading photo. Keep reading Geckos!
