After working hard on their food unit, it was time for our French beginner’s class to experience a real french lunch. L’Epicerie, a French-owned, Parisian style restaurant just opened a few weeks ago right beside Bayside. It was hard to resist the opportunity to give a real life experience to our French grade 7 beginner class. Students interacted with the French staff and practiced ordering excellent French food in the most authentic Epicerie yet in Shekou. From Plateau de Fromage (Cheese platter) to Saumon au Beurre Vert (Salmon in green butter), Éclairs au chocolat and Speculoos (Homemade Belgium cinnamon cookies), the French students were full: full of great food of course, but also full of a great French cultural experience!
