Back by popular demand, the French classes are returning to the Faguo Club library every month. Year 2, 3 and 4 students will visit the French library regularly throughout the year to choose books, magazines, encyclopedias for their level of ability and interest. With over 3000 books in store the library has a lot to offer and students can always find a match to develop their interest for reading in a second language.
This initiative is geared to develop student’s awareness of the presence of our French community in Shenzhen. It’s also a great opportunity to present reading in a more fun and differentiated way. From this activity students will journal, confer and share their reading in class.
“Today's visit at the library was fun because it was a change of environment and let us get outside the classroom. It will help me in French because I get to actually read real french books and learn from them instead of learning from textbooks, so it's a more realistic way of learning.” Anna, Grade 8, French Year 2
