The weather is becoming nice and the Little Bunnies are out on the basketball court having a Physical Education (PE) lesson. Physical activity is an important part of the children’s day. It improves children's muscular strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, body composition, cardiovascular endurance and develops motor skills, which allows for safe, successful and satisfying participation in physical activities. We implement it in may ways: playground time, music and movement (dancing) time as well as doing PE. In the morning we go outside and take some soft balls with us. Then we start our training. First we run around the court to warm our muscles, then we jump up and down - which is very easy for all of us, but trying to jump up is much more difficult and only a few of us can do it. Next we practice running and kicking the ball at the same time and if we miss it we go for another kick. After that we sit in pairs and roll the ball between us. When we finish rolling the balls we stand up and throw the balls toward each other. Now everybody is exhausted after has had fun. We have been extending our body function, eye hand coordination and balance. We are ready to go back to the classroom to have our morning meeting.
