Since the seed of an idea about knitting hats for Refugees in the Zataari Camp in Jordan began in the summer of 2013, other related service learning projects have blossomed here at Shekou International School. Heartwarming efforts to contribute positively to the lives of refugees living in basic conditions in Amman, began to spring up across SIS campuses, last year. Grade 2 at Parkside raised 4,000 rmb via their Market Days in June, while the ES STUCO gathered almost 6,000 rmb with their Dodgeball games. Meantime, a small group of 6th Grade students at Bayside, raised just over 3,000 rmb with their Flea Market sales - to which one parent donated all of her own takings.
On behalf of the CRP community, we'd like to thank you for your commitment to this cause and your desire to provide much-needed assistance to refugees and victims of war and conflict here in Amman.
Thanks so much for all your hard work, Rosana, and for everyone's support!
