For two days in May, the ECC Secret Garden was transformed into a global art exhibition for the ECC Art Collaborative. Over the past few months, ECC students have been collaborating with student partners near and far, from as close as the SIS elementary to as far away as Nanjing, Mongolia, Myanmar, and Germany.
Our ECC artists developed their photography skills and selected a special photo to serve as the inspiration for this collaborative exhibit. This photograph was shared with older students, near and far. One student partner designed an artistic interpretation of the photo while the other student partner created a written interpretation in the form of a poem or story. The three pieces came together to create one piece for the exhibition. Each young ECC artist selected the perfect location to display their collaborative work so that students, parents, and teachers could explore the Secret Garden to find and appreciate the work. The ECC Art Collaborative inspired creativity, collaboration, communication, innovation, and global citizenship for our youngest artists.
