Understanding numbers and how numbers work together is a main focus of mathematics skills for kindergarten children at SIS. During the daily calendar routine, every day is represents a single digit starting with one on the first day of school. To build enthusiasm for math and a love of learning, on the 50th day of school, kindergarteners had a special surprise with a visit from ZERO THE HERO! We think he may be a father of a kindergartener at SIS, but we aren't exactly sure of his secret identity.
Zero shared with us an exciting fact on the 50th day of school- that we were exactly halfway to 100th day! Every since that special 50th day of school, he's been back, and every time with a special ZERO shaped treat or surprise for us. Once he brought special Cheerios (made by Mrs. Zero) and once cool stickers. There are only 15 days to go until the 100th day of school. What will he bring then?
