61 students and 6 teachers headed through the border to Hong Kong last Tuesday morning. They had spent the previous day in school playing games and participating in activities to be ready for our 4-day Week Without Walls adventure!
On day one, we headed straight to Nam Shan campground where we played team-building games, hoisted tents, prepared and cooked our dinner and enjoyed a campfire. The next morning, we headed out in the wilderness to engage in four rotations over the next two days: canyoning, bouldering, hiking and sea-kayaking. These activities were physically demanding and really challenged us to persevere, collaborate, communicate and enjoy the natural world and our peers. At night-time we shared story-telling and other self-concept building activities before sleeping in the hostel in Mui Wo.
Overall, this trip was a huge success! Smiling, laughing students who were proud of themselves for conquering their challenges dismounted from the buses to the comfort of their families.
